Can't feel the heat through this glove and it's often used on items cooked between 400 and broiling. Slight smell but not unpleasant. Will probably buy at least one other. Like length as have burnt my arm reaching into oven in past.

This is a great mitt. I don't care for plain silicone - and the all cotton mitt is a problem when it gets wet and then you pick up something hot - which happened to me - cotton mitt absorbed some juice from a roast and I didnt realize it - burn...
