In search for a twin electric burner for my father-in-law, who is 97 and still lives on his own, I needed one that has an automatic shut off feature. Many of the units offered, made no mention of this safety feature. Additionally, the burner plates on this model are designed with large solid cooking surfaces which are easier to maintain than the standard heating element coils offered on some other product models.
