This was much better quality than I was expecting. I ended up putting it next to my stove for decoration. If I knew I was going to live here much longer (I live in a rental), I would have bought two more to hang on the wall. It is very heavy duty and I am sure would work as a trivet. It has a glossy finish that the picture does not do justice.
I've recently moved and accented my white kitchen with red, primarily apples. This is perfect and of very good quality.
