I ordered four skillets mainly for use in making sizzling steaks hot off the grill. Skillets are of great quality, but the wood bases are not. One of the bases was split in two during shipping (we fixed it with wood glue). It isn't surprising since the non-broken bases we received could have easily been cracked in half by hand.
