I impulse-bought an Aroma AID-509 at a local store about three weeks ago to try out induction cooking. I eventually will replace my old electric element inset cooktop and need to decide if the replacement will be gas, induction or one of the other electric types. My current opinion is that I will go with a gas cooktop--or radiant smoothtop if I can't get gas to my cooktop at a reasonable price--but I will have one or two of these portable single-"burner" induction cooktops and probab...
