I read a lot of reviews, and the higher-end models all seemed to have issues (parts break off, don't heat up right etc), so I decided to take a chance on this one.

So far, it makes great waffles. Don't notice much difference in the clam shell vs. the flip types.

Nice vertical storage feature.

simple to use.

Only minus, is that the waffles are not super deep like more professional models, but that doesn't bother me much--they are deep enoug...
