We don't really use paper plates and paper towels. Instead, we invested in a whole mix-n-match set of corelle as the kids' dishes. They are almost 2, 5 and 6 and they love having 'grown-up' plates and bowls to use. We keep them down low where they can pick which pattern they would like for each meal.
