I bought these to go with some square porcelain dishes i received as a gift for Christmas. They're lighter than i thought they would be; they are almost duplicates of the dishes you would find in any place sushi is served. They are thick, and are more resistant to falls. No sauces that we have used have stained them, which was a concern as they weren't made from porcelain. I'll probably be ordering another set soon.
