The only complaint I have about it is a little piece that opens the steamer valve - if you open the steamer all the way, the little metal ring bends or snaps in half. We had to take the steam knob off twice to put in two new pieces that we bought from the hardware store. Inexpensive to do, but time-consuming.

I guess it would work for some irons, but I have one of the Rowenta irons, and while I can lay the iron flat on the holder, when I do that the steam continues to come out. The Rowenta iron has rounded edges where I guess it's supposed to fit in the slot on the holder to make it stand partially upright, therefore stopping the steam until you start ironing again. Induction is faster cooking with more control over your cooking temperature. Plus you save energy. I've bought alot of cadco products and this one seems as well built as all their cooking equipment.
The fun test is to boil a cup or two of water on it and your regular stove top. And test the different times. The induction boils water in about 3 minutes versus regular cook stove tops that boil water in over 7 minutes.

It's not hard to fill up the pot and then dump it into a pour over coffee maker yet somehow that process and the drips regularly causes me to start my day off in a bad mood. Enter the Brew Express.

I've spent several weeks week getting to know the Zojirushi Fresh Brew... and for the most part, I'm quite pleased. It has some foibles [which I'll get to in a moment] but on the whole it's a very capable coffee brewer. More, it's one of the very few home models I know that can brew 8 cups of just-roasted coffee at a proper 2 tablespoons per cup ratio without fuss, and - this is important! - maintain proper brewing temperatures throughout the entire brew cycle.
