I was very excited about getting these little things for handling lids, with hot handles... The problem with these holders: they are not flexible, quite small (one side is larger than the other) and it is very easy to touch a very hot surface with your fingers or palms, using these... Even when handling a small rack from a toaster oven, I have to be very careful, because only some of my fingers (gripping ones) are protected, the rest of the hand/pinky/palm is exposed.
